Topgolf In South Baltimore Inches Closer As Deal To Move Barcs Heads To Vote

A push to add a Topgolf to a new entertainment zone near M&T Bank Stadium could be one step closer to reality.

The city’s Board of Estimates is set to vote Wednesday on a new space for the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, freeing up a key parcel of land in South Baltimore for the golf attraction.

Caves Valley Partners was the only development team to respond last April to a Baltimore Development Corp. request for proposals for redevelopment of a 2.5-acre parcel of city-owned land at 301 Stockholm St. where the BARCs is currently located. Adjacent land would also be used for Topgolf.

Caves Valley and CBAC Gaming LLC, part of the ownership group of the neighboring Horseshoe Casino, have long eyed several parcels in South Baltimore for redevelopment, including the current city-owned home of BARCS.
