Project Overview
Prince George’s County Public Schools will utilize a design, build, finance and maintenance (DBFM) alternative financing model to deliver six (6) new public schools by 2023 and be the first jurisdiction in the nation to utilize the private sector to bundle a multi-school construction program. This unique partnership, called Alternative Construction Financing (ACF) and authorized recently by state law, will allow Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) to build these 6 schools, which will include five (5) new middle schools and one (1) K-8 school, in just three (3) years totaling more than 8,000 seats. Three|E supports the development partners Stantec, Gilbane Development Company, Gilbane Building Company and Honeywell.
