As D.C. begins to get acquainted with The Wharf, developers are preparing to break ground on the ambitious development’s next stage.

For Phase II, PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette will add onto The Wharf’s current mix of office, residential, restaurant and retail space. A marina will also be added. This new segment will be just east of Phase I, along Maine Avenue Southwest.
Work is expected to begin in mid-2018, with an expected completion date of 2022.

Phase II will comprise seven buildings and include

547,504 square feet of office space;
317 residential dwelling units;
119,059 square feet of retail;
116 hotel rooms; and
250 boat slips.

Other highlights are

M Street Landing, a 1.8-acre plaza that will feature seating areas, a bikeshare station, short-term bicycle parking and café seating; and The Grove, an open space that will feature general outdoor seating and dining seating for nearby restaurants.
