With a massive 24-hour casino set to open next month at National Harbor, officials in Prince George’s County are continuing to expand their public safety presence to address increased activity expected in the area.
On Tuesday, they held a groundbreaking ceremony for a pier that will house local and federal law enforcement, and fire and rescue agencies, on the Potomac River.
With an expected increase in boaters and tourists drawn to the MGM National Harbor Casino and surrounding attractions, the pier will be vital, said Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker III.
