Md. Casino Revenue Jumps 39 Percent From Year Ago

Maryland’s six casinos are generating more gaming revenue for the state, and MGM National Harbor remains the casino revenue king.

All six casinos generated $134.5 million in revenue in September, up 38.6 percent from a year ago.

MGM National Harbor accounted for $49.4 million of that. There is no year-over-year comparison for MGM National Harbor, which opened in December, but it appears to be the revenue driver for the state’s casino industry.

Excluding MGM National Harbor’s September numbers, gaming revenue from the state’s five other casinos was down 12.3 percent from a year ago.

Maryland Live! Casino at Arundel Mills brought in $46.9 million in September, down 12.9 percent from a year ago.

Gaming Revenue at Baltimore’s Horseshoe Casino was down 22.1 percent from last September, at $21 million.
