In the wake of November’s scathing report that showed many inefficiencies with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said he will introduce legislation at the 2017 General Assembly session to reform for the organization that promotes and supports economic development in Virginia.
The report, released by the Virginia General Assembly’s Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission, said the organization had internal management issues and failed to adequately market Virginia as a place to do business, among others. It outlined ways to improve the VEDP.
