Revenue at the state’s six casinos inched up to $127.8 million in January, Maryland Lottery and Gaming said Monday.
That’s up 1.2 percent from the $126.2 million generated in January 2017. January was the first full month when all six of the state’s casinos could be compared on a year-over-year basis. The newest casino, MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County, opened Dec. 8, 2016.
But only MGM and Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County reported revenue increases for January.
MGM brought in $50.2 million from both slot machines and table games, a 2.9 percent increase, while sales rose 23.6 percent to $4.5 million at Ocean Downs, which introduced table games in December.
Sales dipped at the other casinos, including a 1 percent decline to $43.5 million at Live! Casino at Arundel Mills mall, and a slight dip of 0.7 percent at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, which reported sales of $20 million.
