The proposed Prince George’s County Regional Medical Center has won support from an unlikely source: its competitor to the east in Anne Arundel County.
In a letter to Maryland Health Care Commissioner Robert Moffit on Friday, a lawyer for Anne Arundel Medical Center said hospital officials would support his recommendation to approve the proposed Prince George’s hospital in its bid for a certificate of need.
The Prince George’s project is a joint venture between University of Maryland Medical System and Dimensions Healthcare System to build a teaching hospital at Largo Town Center to replace Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly.
