Horseshoe Casino Baltimore will conduct a hiring event on Tuesday, seeking to bolster its ranks as a new competitor — MGM National Harbor — prepares to open next month.
Horseshoe said in promotional materials that it was prepared to make “offers on the spot” for dealers, bartenders, supervisors, hosts and others during the event in the Harbor Room of the Russell Street casino. Horseshoe was offering $500 signing bonuses for experienced dealers and some other positions.
The casino already faces competition for talent from the $1.4 billion MGM National Harbor. Scheduled to open Dec. 8 on the Potomac River in Prince George’s County, the casino, Maryland’s sixth, is hiring 3,600 people.
