Keep them guessing.
That’s what Amazon Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos did on Thursday night during an appearance at The Economic Club of Washington, D.C.’s 32nd anniversary dinner.
“I believe in the power of wandering. All of my best decisions, in business and in life, have been made with heart, intuition, guts … not analysis,” Bezos said, early in an interview with Economic Club Chairman David Rubenstein, the co-founder of The Carlyle Group.
After Bezos continued to speak for a couple minutes about his recently unveiled philanthropic efforts, Rubenstein brought up the one issue that was on the mind of everyone in the room.
