Comcast Corp. is relocating a regional office from White Marsh to McHenry Row in South Baltimore.
The communications giant said Thursday it inked a lease for more than 28,000 square feet in the Banner Building, the former 9-acre home to Phillips Seafood in Locust Point. Comcast will move its offices and 140 employees from 8029 Corporate Drive in Baltimore County.
The Banner Building is a 215,000-square-foot office space that was updated and expanded by 28 Walker Development Co. after it purchased the site three years ago.
Comcast’s lease brings the building to 100 percent occupancy. Other tenants such as the Maryland Auto Insurance Fund, Martin-Lauer Associates, Under Armour and Gilbane Construction in the four-story red brick building located at 1215 E. Fort Ave.
