Michael Bronfein is chief executive of a successful applicant for one of the state’s 15 licenses to grow medical marijuana. He calls the existing law the best in the country and insists no changes are needed.
The two took part in a panel discussion sponsored by the Greater Baltimore Committee Wednesday. While their comments were cordial, their messages clearly showed where battle lines on medical marijuana are being drawn for the 2017 General Assembly session.
Glenn, a Baltimore Democrat who chairs the Legislative Black Caucus, continued to express indignation that no African-American majority applicants were awarded licenses by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
