Baltimore Firms Commit To Creating 600 Jobs Through BGE Incentive Program

Thirteen Maryland companies expect to create 1,100 jobs, including 600 in Baltimore, aided by a Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. incentive program.

BGE’s Smart Energy Economic Development Program, which launched in September, offers discounts on energy bills and other incentives to businesses that expand their electric or natural gas usage and create new full-time jobs.

Nine Baltimore companies are among the 13 to apply for the program so far, including Parkway Theatre, Sagamore Whisky, Culinary Architecture and the La Quinta Inn & Suites on Saratoga Street.
