Anne Arundel County voters on Tuesday narrowly voted to reject an increase in the minimum value of contracts and purchases required to go through the competitive bidding process.
Meanwhile, judges and school board candidates in retention races all won approval to continue to serve.
Voters nixed Charter Question C by a margin of 51.5 to 48.5 percent.
The question, one of six charter amendments on the local ballot, was a priority for County Executive Steve Schuh’s administration, which has included procurement reform among its initiatives.
