Angela Franco Steps Down From Greater Washington Hispanic chamber

Angela Franco is stepping down after eight years as president and CEO of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the organization announced Wednesday.

The organization’s board will establish a search committee to find a replacement, and Franco will play an active role in the transition.

The Colombia native, a Washington Business Journal Minority Business Leader Awards honoree in 2013, did not announce her future plans in the organization’s statement.

The chamber, whose office is in D.C., said its membership grew from 100 to 700 members during Franco’s tenure and experienced revenue growth of more than 400 percent. Its most recent annual revenue was $1.14 million.
