Amazon Looks To Hire 3,000 Seasonal Employees In Maryland

With the holiday season fast approaching, Amazon.com Inc. is again recruiting seasonal employees to help with picking, packing and shipping.

This year, the online retailer plans to hire 120,000 holiday workers across the United States, including 3,000 in Maryland. That’s on par with last year’s holiday hiring numbers, nationally and at the local level.

Seasonal positions are available in Baltimore and in Rockville, according to Amazon’s online job listings. The post says jobs are part-time and pay $12.50 an hour.

Amazon says it plans to continue a trend of turning some seasonal jobs into regular, full-time roles after the holidays are over. The company has more than 125,000 full-time employees nationwide at more than 75 fulfillment centers.
